Traditional Coffee Processing
For our Specialty Coffees every part of the process is crafted to achieve an outstanding cup.
Only the ripe beans are harvested from the coffee bushes then they are selected by size and weight.
We test each batch for their humidity content and their flavor profile. We only choose to roast the best coffee beans.
Colombian Coffee Facts:
Colombia is the second biggest producer of Arabica Coffee beans in the world.
70% of the coffee that the world drinks is mixed with Colombian Coffee. This means the 500,000 small farmers in Colombia support a huge part of the coffee world.
Colombia basically has a bean to suit every taste.
The northern region that includes Norte de Santander and Santander is warmer and lower altitude which produces coffee that has lower acidity and a fuller body. The central region including Antioquia, Cundinamarca, and Tolima harvests all year round. Finally, the beans from the southern part of the country grow at higher altitudes, closer to the equator, giving them a higher acidity and the much sought-after sweetness.
What does all of this mean? The taste of coffee is subjective, and you will definitely find exceptional coffee that you’ll love.
QUALITY
We work together with cooperatives which help us to find the highest quality coffee for their processes and distinctive profile in Colombia. All of our coffees range in altitude from 1,650 to 2,000 meters.
